Weekly Crow Calls
While NVDA was a flop, both NEM and SOFI were winners last week - with SOFI ripping out of the gate for a quick trade (we cut once it fell to 50% above our entry price per the rules), and NEM a good candidate for a roll.
For those asking me in messages - yes, I’m still in Boeing (BA) having rolled into higher strikes and expiries.
Newmont Gold (NEM)
We’ve made a fair amount of profit (and I still hold commons) on this name - as gold pushes in an increasingly volatile geopolitical climate. We’re rolling profits to play this for a weekly breakout, and any potential Iran headlines.
Image 2. NVDA 30m chart
This is not the most liquid name, so play carefully and respect stops smartly. Playing a strike or two ITM can also tighten spreads. Stops are about two points lower from the Friday close. Adjust accordingly for a gap up. Personally I would stick to the monthlies (Jan 16) or use GLD as a proxy (425c at 1.05), albeit with less expected gain.
Aggressive:
Jan 16 115c at 0.75
Conservative, with not much more premium:
Jan 23 115c @ 1.25
The next ticker may be a surprise, but is a promising setup.
