Quick reminder today not to get emotional! Global markets overnight have plunged. For example Hong Kong’s index closed down over 13%, not seen since 1997.

I am mostly in cash and gold at this time, and will be looking at some potential (and interim) support this week. I’ll spend the day buying some tickers I like, namely miners, German utilities, and European ETFs.* I’m not committing to a whole lot just yet - my thesis is transitory support, to borrow words from the Fed.

So trade easy - this extreme volatility is when accounts go bust and funds go under. Stay safe, I’ll be back with a more detailed plan later today.

* Out of curiosity, let’s see just how well Bitcoin (BTC) acts as a store of value. Hint: it won’t, although it will be a fantastic source of liquidity for margin calls. Except for MSTR, that is.
